I see a lot of discussion meta posts in Sherlock fandom have to deal with, oh, what do you think they will do with new episodes, or even why did they do things the way they did in the first season.
Pretty much all one has to do is read articles and watch the making of on the DVD. That sets up why London is shown as an exciting, colourful adventurous place (not reflecting many realities of ahem, living in London)
It's great to see the original pilot (after adoring the series) and then have explanations of we did this because of etc, etc. If I lived in London, I could even go to talks with the creators. *happy sigh*
But I trust them, Mark and Stephen, they love Sherlock Holmes, and thats the best place to start, they aren't going to really go beyond canon. and that is a good thing, because it makes the series accessible to a wider audience, while giving fan-creators places to go with their derivative works.
As I stated in a comment, let's not cement (or consummate) the dynamic electric relationship between the two leads, that's the beginning of the end, isn't it?
*On other news, Sherlock turned out fantastic in the picture, and John is coming along, that's the issue of doing images with two characters, getting them to turn out equally well, both Martin and Benedict have challenging faces to capture, particularly because I have them smiling I don't do many smiling pictures, or hadn't done until recently.
It's been a drawing day, I can't put this sketch down, so I will have to see if I can get into writing mode tomorrow.
And I now have cold with sore throat. Meh,
