Got another email message today when someone received their Three Pipe Problem and Compassion - Aid to Japan postcards today! Noted that Deviant Art site has done an excellent job printing them!~ the postcards were the most popular item after the largest sized art print.

(Proceeds are what would be my commission on items, 20% of base price, which for postcards are 10 cents, so that's A LOT OF POSTCARD SALES!)

On Printfection, the mugs and baseball jersey have proved to be most popular. I am hoping to get my own long-sleeved tee and my daughter ordered a tee of the Compassion print.

So I should be able to send off my first $100 to the Japanese Red Cross, I have to wait for the checks to be released.

My Three Pipe Problem mug which I auctioned at help_japan for $6 went for $20! Arigato! I think that I am the one who has to let them know they won the auction.

My friend is coming to visit tomorrow, so it's cleaning the house today, I think spouse has a haircut appt, and we have to pick up the banner and supplies, so busy in a different way, but THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK FOR THE AUCTION!

*just a note, the Compassion print will stay up indefinitely, so that funds can always be sent to Red Cross Japan.
Watch it live here - and thanks to Takanori Nishikawa (TMR) for hosting it!

Friend was just talking about kids and fandom, and that means big kids too, now with blogging, everyone tends to group around their fannish likes, which to my mind, is rather cool, you share a great enthusiasm for a fun thing *usually*

As for getting my kids into fandoms, well, we do share some, but daughter took my liking for Japanese artists and expanded them to Korean artists, the kids have liked my anime faves, but they took on their own (my BLEACH, their Romeo and Juliet and Sengoku Basra and Dragonball Z)

What's fun is also sharing your fandoms in unexpected places, I swear my fannishness for Lord of the Rings got me a job with my new boss who was also a fan, my son went to school with a Doctor Who In Your Pocket audio keychain and found out his teacher is a big Who fan.

I guess the best thing is to 'convert' someone to a fave fandom, but it does work both ways, I don't know that I would have found SHERLOCK otherwise. :D
