So, rumour going round that actor Benedict Cumberbatch is 'being considered' for a role in a Marvel movie. So tenuous it's not even funny, so I'm not reporting in news blog yet.

However, Ben has Sherlock series 2 to complete, shooting for The Hobbit films, then a WW1 miniseries, then a comedy in Ireland, he might possibly take After The Dance to Broadway, and possibly Sherlock 3, so if he was to make a Marvel film, when? (film shoots usually go 3months)

It might be fun for him, might be $$$ as well, but Ben's not motivated by that, I'd think he'd consider a good role and a good director.

Some roles being tossed about by fans The Mandarin and Dr.Strange.

Now, the Mandarin would be cool, as he's been used in Iron Man as a villain, so I'd like to see Sherlock Holmes Robert Downey Jr against Sherlock Benedict Cumberbatch, the Mandarin is half-Chinese, half-English, and I always push for Asian actors to get more roles, so give GACKT the Mandarin and Benedict Dr. Strange.

(as any character Ben needs a flatmate and partner and love interest something Martin Freeman can play)

I am now reading The Secret Pilgrim, which is a novel of separate stories involving characters from Le Carre's Smiley series, I squee a little whenever I hear mention of Peter Guillam. If TTSS is as fabulous as they say, I hope they make the other films in the Karla Trilogy.

My head is full of scenes from my original novel, the one that needs all the research, so I might just try writing and fill in details later, only problem is, the details give me ideas, and it sucks to figure out your premise doesn't work because you didn'tso, yeah, research first.

Now someone asked me if it was okay to just write SHERLOCK without reading ACD, and you could do that, it's just that Mark Gatiss just re-iterated that he and Steven write canon Holmes, so it certianly doesn't hurt, and hey, the stories are fantastic, and most are only a few pages, they were serialized, so a great quick read, a Sherlock Holmes story a day!

I have to check the tent cos it rained last night, grocery shopping *sigh* and I have art to make and fic to write and breakfast for kiddies. Have a great one!
A lot of fans like to draw John as a hedgehog, and I've found the cutest plush toy, a nice bonus is that if you purchase the toy, proceeds go to the Starlight Foundation to help kids in hospital.

We looked at about five minutes before turning it away, who are these people talking about Who? (what about former Doctors and Companions and Directors and Crew? What about sci-fi writers, scientists, sociologists?) no ardent long term fans for a show going on 40+ years,

if there's a problem with the BBC America promotion of Who, it's only sticking to the current program, and by that I mean, not just the Reboot, but only Matt Smith. (I can't seriously take an opinion of someone who says 'he's the best Doctor ever' when they can't even name any of the previous Doctors!)

BBCs missing on a golden chance to rebroadcast - not to mention sell DVDs of - previous years of Who.
