Arashi Message from Japan

Not too long after the disaster of 3/11, ARASHI, one of Japan's most popular entertainment groups (the five boys all sing, dance and act) hosted a Travel to Japan campaign which featured the 'Lucky Cat' or maneki neko. Arashi has been a fave of mine for six years, and a few years ago I began collecting maneki neko, which sit ontop of my old-style monitor. So many levels of liking here.

Been putting this off all week

But I have to make cards today, take son and daughter for hair trims, then go to thrifts to get the last of their costumes for Sherlock and John, there is a local Halloween 'Boo Bash' event tomorrow, and of course, trick or treating on Monday.

Back from getting boy's hair trimmed, so ADORABLE, and short for his John Watson, daughter just got a trim at the back for the Sherlock hair, and stylist showed her how to not brush out the curl, she's hoping to grow it long after Halloween, but she looks so cute with short hair (and it shows off her Audrey Hepburn bone structure and long neck) besides which, when she has her hair long she never wants to wash it as much as needful and won't use pins or barettes or headbands like she's supposed to. So.

Just got some hot dogs from Sonic because we hadn't had lunch - I was STARVING - but now after eating I need to take a nap, then it's off to thrift or BCF to get the rest of their costumes, jacket and white shirt (or purple if we find it) for Sherlock and check shirt or jumper (if we can find) and brown shoes for John. *sigh*

At some point groceries too.

BTW, finished all the cards, yay! - just as I ran out of blue ink!

Ben is at a gala for Elton John's AIDS charity here, didn't post to news blog, cos it's not really professional news. *note to other actors who have a large and somewhat obsessive female fanbase, date a woman with a name which when combined with yours, is funny. At least, that's my theory why I haven't see I HATE BENANNA (Ben + Anna Jones) blogs.

Which would have made Ben and his former partner Olivia Poulet, um, BELIVIA?
