I'm glad someone liked the Angel Sam pendant enough to buy it. I really like the colours and concept of that pic, and because I love dark red and purple, I wear this one a lot. And someone also picked up a Sherlock magnifying glass necklace, luckily, I made a few at a time so I have them in stock, though they were sort of intended for a local convention my friend is selling art at. I'm kind of cool with just internet sales for now, (and I don't have to pay state sales tax!)

I might see about making some other pics into jewelry, but tomorrow I've got to get on with some pictures, I miss drawing. And getting back into writing is tough, I think this is the longest break I've had in a decade.

But we just can't get into new Who. Daughter and I put it on, and we found ourselves wandering off and didn't even bother to catch the ending, it was the same with the last season for me. I'm a big old-school fan, as is spouse, and I have to admit, I've not liked the change from kids tv to prime time Doctor with love interests.

And though I love SHERLOCK it's almost despite the fact that i'm not a fan of Moffat's writing style, which while it is brilliant, he paints with broad strokes 'the Hero, the Dectective, the Femme Fatale, etc' and I think his tendancy to Write In Capitals also limits his characters, so you feel they are never developed in three dimensions, and events move so quickly, and are resolved so quickly, you get a bit of whiplash, and the lack of consistency in his own universes makes you suspect everything he will write, ie: you need to have some solid bedrock so you care, when characters die willy nilly and bounce back it's difficult to connect with them. (Clara is a perfect example)

And yeah, my current show has it's characters die, but we had two seasons with Sam (44) eps before he died, and three seasons with Dean before he died, so those deaths were shocking and still resonate.

One thing the BBCAmerica is finally doing right, showing episodes featuring the old doctors, my spouse fave John Pertwee tonight, and Tom Baker will always be MY Doctor. I'm not gonna get on the cases of people who like the show now, it doesn't take away my enjoyment from the old ones, in fact, people are keeping the series alive.

Hey WRECK IT RALPH was a great little movie, I loved the ode to old arcade games, and it was so new and original, you never knew where it was going.
*and kid and I both spotted graffiti that said 'Aerith Lives!'
