Dalek Cake

For son's birthday, cake is chocolate with peanut butter frosting, outside formed of modeling chocolate in two flavors, spheres are malted milk balls! Entire cake is edible!

I could have made a bigger cake, cos the malted milk balls are almost in scale with that large model dalek! I think the spheres would have been a bitch to make by hand!

I've been away and am trying to catch up on news round journals. It's nice to read something happy for a change. Poor Japanese friend is terrified to go outside in case of radiation and has been demanding cheery emails - but it's so hard to be cheery when the TV screen shows such awful pictures and there are so many people without proper shelter and without their families maybe.
