I've never really noticed much of a difference in the "scents" of coloured roses. However, Harkness is saying that rose is only Scent Category 3... which is... well, next to nothing unfortunately. I got this rose (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/405/rachaelrose.jpg/) from Harkness last year and she survived through the snow we had in February... So you could try keeping Hybrid Teas? There are sooo many types and colours and they tend to have quite strong scents. That's a 8 or 9 I think C:
