The Black Widow. She is a non-powered super (SUPER) spy. I actually like her quite a lot in the comics, but she didn't really get much personality in Iron Man II and I don't think she'll get more in this movie.

Yup. She is a really fascinating character so it's a really big waste.

I think they could have easily switched bowguy for Ms. Marvel or Janet van Dyne. They are well known in comics and been tied to the Avengers (Janet was the first female member if my mind serves me right).

But then I find She-Hulk vastly more interesting than the Hulk.

I'm hyped to see this - love Hawkeye and Samuel L Jackson rocks! - but I did use this in my lecture to demonstrate male dominance in film genres like action flicks. And the token inclusion of non white males. My students laugh when I compared the rom-comedy (chick flicks) with action (dick flicks).

I'd say, either make the woman a fully realized character, or leave her out, it's the tokenism (of any kind) that's annoying.
