If I'm honest I don't expect much from the new film apart from a bit of fun, so I won't be disappointed anyhow. ^__^ Historical accuracy issues are a bugbear for me, but all Sherlock adaptations have things to nitpick sometimes.

Was watching the Cushing BBC DVDs last night and saw some things in it which I loved that had been picked out the books and ignored in every other version I've ever seen of same story adaptations. That's the awesomeness of Sherlock, such a powerful character and concept that you can twist him about through time and space, missing or adding a few details and he can still function.

Yes, dark and sombre suits Holmes....seriously NO PINK FRILLY LAMPSHADES thank you Sherlock Society!, although the custard yellow one in Mary's house in BBC The Sign of Four is probably the worst piece of home furnishing I have EVER seen.
