Two scenes from SHERLOCK: A Scandal in Belgravia
John looks fantastic, and kudos to wardrobe for Sherlock's tightly tailored costumes, um ... and other outfits.
(thoughts - *spoilers*)
So this is the set up for 'let's take down Sherlock a notch show' he begins the story so arrogant - John referring to it, Lestrade warning not to punch him, Sherlock stating he's not even leaving the flat for a case not a 7, John mentioning that carrying around the laptop is humiliating, and use of the mute button, here Sherlock comes out of his bedroom clad in only a sheet, but will be dragged off somewhere else (hence the ringing of the doorbell) now I had been spoiled that John steps on the sheet and exposes Sherlock - I don't want John to humiliate Sherlock intentionally (I don't think it's John's character really) - though I don't know if Sherlock should be humiliated (with that Frankenstein-theater-toned body, I wouldn't be) anyway, we know in canon that Irene bests Sherlock, it's not that I don't want Sherlock to make mistakes and become more human, but I love the character from series one, brilliant and arrogant and rude, and I've read too many fics where it's bash Sherlock, people even created a com just for those fics. (sigh)
There are supposed to be great scenes between John and Sherlock, and Sherlock and Mycroft regarding their childhood, so I'll look forward to that.
I don't know if I will love or hate this episode, I kind of just want to get it over with, like pulling out a splinter, and move on to Hound and Fall (at least I only have to wait a week between eps in Jan.
