The classic animated film from 1968 with one of the best soundtracks in history, and one of the most neglected films - why? The company which owns the rights decided it had no audience and never promoted it until 1999 on DVD (it's due for a restoration and release again, hint hint). Rarely can you find a film that uses limited animation with such expression and scope, it’s beautiful and timeless, but better still, ask kids!
My ten and thirteen year old love it, even though they are fans of such sophisticated digital animation as Final Fantasy Advent Children, part of this has to do with the music and the script, which has quite a bit of the wordplay for which the Beatles, particularly John Lennon was famous - and you can’t get more adorable than Ringo Starr.
One of my favorite scenes, and yes, the lads take Jeremy with them on the submarine!
