I believe that Ben is older than all of them were when they had those kids, but I hope he doesn't just settle for someone to have children and then break-up. It's hard enough to be with your kids as an actor with a long-term partner. Even harder when you're separated.
I wonder if the thing with Anna didn't work out as we haven't seen her since Tinker, Tailor, and that's why he's feeling a bit sad.
