GACKT - the conversion post for my Sherlock pals

GACKT - my enduring inspiration. I refer to him as my gateway drug to Japanese culture. Through his performances I’ve discovered Japanese historical drama, manga, films, anime, traditional music, games, tokusatsu shows, kabuki, contemporary Japanese music, poetry, fashion, kimono, food, katana, I could go on. He composes his own music, designs his own jewelry, works with the best artists in the business, happens to be the most beautiful man in the world, but best of all, devotes himself to charity work on behalf of earthquake surrvivors and children throughout Asia, becomes Uesugi Kenshin in annual festivals, one of my revered figures of history. And wrote my little girl the loveliest email when she raised money for his charity Show Your Heart . Eternal love for you, Gacchan.

Ah, Gackt, beautiful, altruistic, and incredibly talented, what's not to like? : ) Cool video, I especially liked that touch of the crushed green leaf (representing life) springing back, even amidst the bloody battle.
