There's a modern Sherlock series in production in Russia?!?! Awesome!
I'm glad that Holmes in Elementary will be British, but I think if they want to set it in New York, it would be truer to canon if Holmes were an American who knew the city inside and out.
Still, from everything I've seen about this show, it doesn't really seem like the creators are interested in being true to canon or even the mythology of Sherlock Holmes, they just want to slap his name on something. But again, I will withhold judgment until I see it.
