I might give it another look then and see if I can follow on through the angel stuff. I'm not uptight about it or anything, it's just subject matter I find uncomfortable.

I know from a very brief look at the fandom that there is A LOT of wank, fan entitlement and shit flung at the actors if they don't do what is "expected" or "desired" of them. That didn't really put me off because I know it's worth looking chiefly at the subject material and the fact that there will always be some decent fans lurking about!
