Working

Day 3 of 6 days, Saturdays are busier than most, possibly because no one ever thinks that we are open on Sundays! Yesterday had quite a long lull, until of course, everyone decided to come in at the same time, around 3. In fact, one customer with 3-4 pieces decided to come back today at noon when we open, cos it was only me there by myself.

Gonna take daughter in with me, and we have a Bogo coupon for Caribou next door, so maybe get one of those mint chocolate frozen coffee drinks. I have wed to sat off, and will probably do some much needed art or jewelry making, got to do an artist's trading card for dean greyson.

Maybe will see ST into darkness on Sat. I wanna see Benedict.

How y'all doin?

Oh, also reading GAME OF THRONES, just something my bro has been TRYING to get me to read since 1996. But this way, (I said) I don't have to wait years between installments, but it will be kind of cool to share a 'fandom' with him, though he's a big fan, he's never wanted to engage with other fans online, and i kind of get that these days. I really miss lj being an active meeting place, then again, the people who have stayed tend to be more (dare I say) mature (despite age) and more about character and development, less hopefully about objectifying and fetishizing the actors.

Anyone else into GOT? I had heard some rumor that the big fansite was very anti-slash ...

I am massively into GOT and even used it as my case study for my fandom studies lecture - showed them fan works and compared them to official HBO media that engages with fans (comparing the fuckya tumblr to the HBO tumblr was a lot of fun). Ii don't read slash in that fandom but it was harder for me to find slash vis compared to character vids and synopsis vids made by fans. AO3 has a lot of slash fanfic but no idea on other places.

i've read all the books and watch the TV series, love them both for very different reasons. book 3 is the fan fave though - total game changer!

i love brienne.

cool, I will read the books and we can chat about it, luckily, I read (and retain it) very fast.
