I made six pints of strawberry rhubarb preserves with a bit of lemon and vanilla, and it's good, but very sweet and didn't gell completely, it's a bit runny, still edible. I suppose that I didn't heat it fast enough. I did let it go a bit longer hoping it would jell more, and I could possibly take it out of the jars to re-heat, but I don't think I will. I might still give a few jars away, (to people who won't care that it's not perfect) actually I'm not a fan of rhubarb.

I would still like to do some jam making, down the road, at least I already had the jars from years ago and the other equipment was on sale.

Just a lot of dishes to clean.

I'd love to try some blackberry jam.
