Nothing that's really not what you were thinking re:setup from season eight, so far there are about eight scripts out there, they are shooting their first episode (but shooting order does not match airing schedule, due to actor's other commitments)
the big-bad this year are the fallen angels (who have powers of smiting and healing but not flight) and are gunning for Cas/Winchesters and the new king of Hell and possibly Metatron in the second half of the season
Cas is human without powers, when season begins he is not with the Winchesters but has to cross country to get to them (I wonder if he fell in Peoria again)
boys bunker is in Lawrence, Kansas, the exact center of the US.
Sam and Dean have parallel goals this year!
Kevin is in the bunker when Sam and Dean arrive with Crowley, who they have shackled, the Winchesters want to hold him until he gives them the names of all the demons on the Earth.
Jodi Mills is not dead and will return
Benny will return
Charlie Bradbury will return in an episode in 1935 with the original Men of Letters an a plot involving the Wizard of Oz film.
There is an angel character with a teenage girl as it's vessel
There is a character angel named Ezekiel, after the prophet
some of the former angel characters may return in some fashion
Bobby is returning - either flashback or some other way that doesn't break show rules
Dean and Sam start off on the same page, but Dean might be keeping something from Sam - something that changes things and has to do with how Sam is able to recover from the Trials last season.
Misha states that Cas will learn how to deal with sexual arousal (no romance possibly not even another character) and there is a scene in a bathroom
there will be a new (not introduced) character in episode 20 who will get their own spin-off show
Dean will have an episode where he can talk to animals!
Ben Edlund is now working on Revolution (boos)
They have added one new writer to the staff, and two writers of episodes from seasons one through three or four I believe, yeah, Ross-Leming is still listed as a writer (dismay)
