They overdubbed a narration from Robert Oppenheimer, yeah, that one, so someone remembers the original theme of the first film as Gojira being formed by radiation after nuclear bombs were dropped on Japan, and they kept the original kick ass design, but these were the same guys who wrote Pacific Rim, the movie with great design and visuals, and, that's all it had, for the much touted female protagonist was passive and got jettisoned so the guy could save the world alone - exactly as the other woman (not shown in the film) passed out so that the male pilot in her Jaeger could save the world. And the female scientist in the comic could save her lover, not due to her skills, but 'for love' GOD - I am still so pissed because I was so ready to get into that fandom.
