Huh. Subtle, but unmistakable now that it's been pointed out. It explains why the cameraman chose to shoot from this angle, too. You'll have to excuse me, though, I didn't notice the scars at first. I was focused on ... er ... other things. :)
I'm not even a Cas girl, per se, but I enjoyed this scene! It even fit Castiel's practical thinking. When the choices are either stripping in a Laundromat or walking around covered in blood, both could get you arrested, but only one could have you held on suspicion of murder. It was also a sensible way for the show to finally get him out of that suit and trench coat, and let the Misha girls see how much this guy obviously works out! ;)
