grade D
we knew the premise was ridiculous, but past comedy episodes (by Ben Edlund) only make you wish to heaven they only let Ben Edlund handle them. This episode had all the depth of a Scooby Doo episode, one villian, easy clues, slapstick, with one truly funny moment - Dean checking out the poodle. Using voiceovers to convey animal speak went over like a lead balloon, it would have been better to have Dean convey the information to Sam, instead of the hokey voices of the dogs (and then the pigeon, though Dean was in character trying to shoot it) also, with the few funny moments given away in the promos, there was nothing surprising. Zeke saving Sam is getting old.
And speaking of getting old, promos for next week have Cas blundering through human life (yuk yuk) and getting stalked and stabbed by an angel. C'mon show, this is really phoning it in.
Kudos to J2 working with what they had, tissue thin and disposable as it was.
