the most transparent part of this season on SPN is that it turns season four upside down, Sam who was the brother with 'something wrong' (demon blood) now has angelic grace and Dean who was once the 'Righteous Man' chosen by God, now bears the Mark of Cain (instead of the handprint of an angel)

I had hoped that the story of the season was Sam getting to save Dean for a change, but more than halfway in, Sam's angry that Dean saved him (for selfish reasons) from death, and rubs salt in the wound by admitting this week that Dean may save Sammy over and over and over again, but Sam wouldn't do the same for Dean.

Now I think it's a way to add a bit of contrived angst to the story, when all of us would like some point where the bros work together and have a mission,

but other than the lets drag Dean the most beloved character down YET AGAIN, it was a good ol school monster episode that I enjoyed, and they didn't massacre the MN accent too much, now if you excuse me, there's a man I gotta go make a pie for and tell him that his brother is wrong.
