I heard something about this on the news the other day - the consensus seemed to be that this is the way things will go and conventional publishing will be a thing of the past. Personally, I think that would be a bad thing, as there would be no filter on what is out there, and for a reader it will be like wading through a sea of rubbish in order to find the odd gem. Surely there's another way...
