No, you never want to work with someone like that, if they don't buy the pics you are out the time and the materials, it's even more of a loss, and the person would still try to 'negotiate price' and then bitch about the quality, better to get out while the getting is good.
Wedding sites will actually advise people to not tell photogs and bakeries that items are for weddings, wonder why they never suggest oh, trying to cheat the wedding planner, or the florist, etc, etc,
