Now that would be interesting. I would definitely read the critics and reviews around a EL James genderswap.

Would people see Gray's behavior as abusive if it's an older woman preying on a young, insecure man? Or would they be more inclined to think he should stand up for himself, grow a pair, etc.?

well thats exactly the point isn't it? if she'd genderswapped to begin with, that might have been interesting, except not doing any research on bdsm lifestyle still a problem
