I hate it when writers "re-invent" classic iconic good-guy characters to suddenly be evil (just to be edgy, I suppose?), stripping away everything that made the character great, and then expect readers to just sit back and be okay with it.

Marvel deserves a huge backlash for this blunder (and outrage) of a fucked-up plot line / character assassination. This is especially disgusting to release on Memorial Day when we honor fallen American soldiers - and on Cap's 75th anniversary. Especially since the character was invented back in the day as an American hero battling against evil and bigotry (which are true American values, not the other way around). Meh.

I also don't want to see a Cap vs Cap throw-down (a huge disservice to both original Cap and Sam). Hope Marvel does a 180 degree turn, and doesn't actually go there - but I suppose they will, since - "reasons" (i.e. lots of controversy to generate sales and big bucks - or so they hope).
