oh heck yeah, people throwing away or burning their Cap merch, people writing blogs about their kids crying, themselves crying, a lot of discussion that making Cap a Nazi is antisemetic due to how the character was created by Jewish authors, etc.
Marvel is trying to backpedal quickly by saying Hydra is (now supposed to be) an organization that has nothing to do with Nazis (even though it's origin in the comics certainly was and Hydra are Nazis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is what more people are familiar with)
but even then, Hydra is supposed to be 'bad' in the comics, so it's okay that it's less evil? the writers want us to sympathize with people who join racist organizations, but twisting Caps history to make him one of those people? Blech.
