It's snowing,

AGAIN. I am a little torn between wanting to get out and do grocery shopping, or wait till later, but it would be probably better to go sooner than later.

I forgot my son had an OT appointment and had to call hospital to cancel. (Sigh)

THANKS FOR THE LOVE on the new Sherlock fic I've got going, it has Japanese OC's, but not a crossover. The reviews I've gotten for it are tending to be long and detailed, but in any case, thank you's are just as welcome, I try to comment on everything I see that I like.

I wonder if I should take down my Happy New year cards from last year, bye bye tigers. I did not get as many cards this year, THEN AGAIN, I have a stack of cards at my feet to mail - when I have money, and people will most probably get them when it's time to send out Valentines! *sigh*

Hopefully next week commissions done and out of the way - Pretty much decided not to take any commissions this year at all.

Gackt from A to Z - Kimi No Tame Ni Dekiru Koto

One of my fave Gackt songs and performances of all time. Wait for the last second. Last year I worked on a manga and this particular incarnation of Gackt was the model for the star - wish I could clone myself to do all the work needed to produce it.

One convert at a time

We went to the store and stopped by the pharmacy, and we've visit so often (son's needs) we know the pharmacist by name, and we often chat about Dr. Who.

So last time I went round I said, you REALLY have to watch SHERLOCK.

Today he saw us down the aisle, and before we even got close he shouts, BUT IT'S THE SOLAR SYSTEM!

to which I respond WHAT DOES IT MATTER whether the earth goes round the sun, or the round the moon or round and round the garden like a teddy bear!

Nice to talk fandoms when not online! I have to see how the show went over with the teachers at my sons school who are also WHO fans.

So Delightful!

A fusion of Japanese Kabuki and Chinese opera, stunningly enough, the performers only had four hours to rehearse! Based upon the Ming Dynasty story Peony Pavillion, On a fine Spring day, Du Liniang, the sixteen year old daughter of an important official, takes a walk in the garden, where she falls asleep. In Du Liniang's dream she encounters a young scholar, identified later in the play as Liu Mengmei, whom in real life she has never met. Liu's bold advances starts off a flaming romance between the two and it flourishes rapidly. Du Liniang's dream is interrupted by a flower petal falling on her.
the Japanese maiden is an onnagata, a female role specialist, men play all roles in Kabuki.
