Yeah, this happens periodically apparently, sometimes they work out why and other times it's a mystery.. It's only really in the news because one case was so well publicised so journalists have researched for more info and found other examples and posted them, snowball effect etc. There were thousands of jellyfish washed up dead on our beach last summer and then a huge flock of small birds died over Scotland, and then recently tens of thousands of crabs. It's weird, but conspiracy theorists seem to love it. *__*

dear goodness.......I could never imagine even thinking of eating a crab. But I used to let my friend put his pet crab on my face to crawl around....it even fell in my mouth at one point, hahah.
