I've been finding a few of my things rec'd around lately - my Sherlock fics - and thats very nice. ;D

I will be working on updating stories and writing new ones, but I have the JAPAN AID art print to do this week, and I think the sooner I get that out the better.

Thanks friends for already mentioning that I'll be doing the artwork, Pencil rough is done, now for the detail work, though my son is home today (after his birthday) with a head cold. At least I have a lot of batteries for his toys!

I do see that Japan news is already moving off the front pages, let's not forget those who need us, in NZ as well.

Have a great Monday!
NEW: An estimated 450,000 people are living in shelters, according to Japanese reports

The death toll reaches 1,886, and at least 2,369 are missing, this count does not include 2,000 bodies found Monday in Miyagi Prefecture.

The drug known as Makena has been produced for years, yet KY Pharmacutical recently purchased the rights to the drug, a move which was supported by the March of Dimes because they considered the quality of the drug would be consistent and easier to get - however, once the Food and Drug Administration in the US grants patents to a drug, they have no control over the price the manufacturer will set.

It's blatant greed, there is no research and development to pay for, the testings been done, in fact, there are other versions of the drug from other companies but KY Pharmacutical is threatening to sue them.

The manufacturer now states that the new high cost is justifiable - after all, its less expensive then caring for a premature infant! (GRRR.)

You know the slightly mad brilliant one and the doctor for a partner?

Yep, been watching an ep of the X-Files I found at random on tv. I used to arrange my week around watching that show, now I'm trying to recall who is who and what is going on. I liked the show until season 5, and the first film, and then it jumped the shark. I was going to say it was when they hooked up Mulder and Scully, but maybe the problem was we never saw them become a romantic, sexual couple it all happened off-screen.

So i'd say, either give us the whole ball of wax or keep it platonic, but pretty much the problem was the writers and even the show creator ran out of ideas. I never did watch movie 2.

But good writing and good acting never go out of style, there should be more shows like this, more than just what I can count on one hand ... or maybe even one finger.

Son was home sick with head cold, so not much done on art today, on the drive home he threw up in the car, so tomorrow I'll be cleaning that out, needs it anyway.

I did get my Three Pipe Problem mug and long-sleeve tee from my shop at Printfection, just to see the quality and I'm really happy with both, the long sleeve tee fits perfectly, and I do like it in black, (red might also be nice) spouse groused that he couldn't wear tee, I offered him mug but he said no.

Now I have something to wear to Frankenstein.

Daughter was impressed I could wear my own art on a shirt, she wants something on a shirt for herself, not certain if she could wear TPP to school (because of the smoking image) and the Triton image being half (or all-nude considering.) But she can get the Japan Aid Print on a tee.

Will go with my printfection shop for merch, still considering where to go for cards, posters. Suggestions? For International buyers?

Radiation levels at the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant have increased to "levels that can impact human health," fire in the 4th reactor - anyone within a 30-kilometer radius of the plant should remain indoors, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said Tuesday. (CNN WORLD)

Nations from all over the world have responded to the crisis - even New Zealand still reeling from their own disaster - the US effort is called 'Operation Tomodachi' (Friendship) and Jlist reports that bloggers in Japan find the name a little funny ... but think on the necessity and the helpfulness of other nations and 'cry and cry.'

Jlist and other companies that export your favorite goods are still in operation, the mail is still working, so continue to fill your fannish needs and help support the Japanese economy. In many ways it will help your own economy, as we are all connected globally these days.
The company with it's iconic duck mascot has fired comedian Gilbert Gottfried for making jokes about the disaster in Japan on his twitter account.

seriously people? I'm tired of hearing about celebs getting in trouble by being stupid on Twitter and Facebook, but maybe it's an abject lesson.

Today in a radio program so many people called in to say they had lost jobs, or been denied jobs because of making statements in their Facebook accounts or Tweets.
The Westboro 'Church' you know, the strange family that picket military funerals in the US because they are against homosexuality have had their appeal to the Supreme Court on Freedom of Speech upheld, meaning, they can continue to picket wherever they want.

However, many States have passed laws because of this group to prevent picketing in front of funeral homes and cemeteries, the best way to go after this group is in civil court, and counter-protesting.

But can someone tell me why the masked hero from V for Vendetta is figured on their hate signs?

Because of insane fees and interest rates, the Democratic congress passed new laws limiting the charges banks can put on all kinds of accounts, from debit to credit cards. Now Chase, a major banker wants to limit debit card purchases to $50 to $100 dollars, the cap would apply even if you run your debit card as a credit card.

So, consumers would have to go back to checks, take out cash, or make purchases on credit. However, Chase is also considering more fees on checking accounts, since those were not figured into recent legislation.
