Return of The King

Gosh these are good movies. I am recalling how good the soundtracks are, we used to listen to them in the car, and the kids (who were babies when the films came out) always recalled what was happening when certain themes play. I'm looking forward to the Hobbit films.

It is funny how people think certain things are spoilers, for a book written back in the 1940's.

*EDIT* Daughter just said, Sam and Frodo are like John and Sherlock, aren't they? (she also said, no matter how many times I see this it still makes me cry)

Which makes me consider in many ways, that no matter what great projects Martin and Benedict are associated with (now and in future) they will always be paired up as Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, and I'm certain they'd both say that's a good thing. Maybe if we are lucky, they will do a stage production as Brett and Hardwicke did (though it doesn't have to be Sherlock related, it might be fun to see them play against type.)

Was a bit annoyed today to see someone write that Benedict's voice isn't as deep as a dragons should be, so they assumed it would be 'fixed' in studio. PLEASE. No one hires an actor for his voice so they can 'fix' it later - Benedict Cumberbatch is not a talentless pop idol who needs Auto-Tune.
