Progress on Fics

Wanted to tell you everythings at a stop for now, a combination of things, 1) kids home for summer distracting.
2) drawing mode going on, I can't seem to do both at once. 3) original fic is competing with fanfic in my head.

And I have thought of it this way as well, I usually write one or two romance stories for a pair in any fandom, and once I've done it, it's done, I don't have a need to write it again, I haven't written my great Sherlock and John romance story yet. It's percolating.

But also, fanfic for me is fun, not a job, I don't want to leave things unfinished, but RL shit happens, for example, I was working on an epic BLEACH fic and I had a car accident last summer that derailed it, and then I couldn't get back in.

I was working on my Japanese themed Sherlock fic, that was very dark and then the disaster happened in Japan and that threw me off, to the point I might have to reconsider the ending, so that's in limbo.

I don't mean to disappoint, so thanks for the friends who've been encouraging me, and for those sending FINISH NOW emails, well, that never works!

Working on

The Sherlock tattoo pic, I think I am too in love with a starry background (you Sherlock peeps know whereof I speak) and it looks fine, but it's just not got that spark just yet. I'm okayish with the tattoo as well, so I know it needs more work before I show it.

Someone I know of online met Martin, Ben and Rupert today - trifecta of loveliness anyone - and Ben not only signed her copy of The Hobbit, but drew a dragon on the cover. (Did you know he went to uni for art and used to paint?) Maybe Martin and Ben will really get tattoos as the Fellowship cast did!

I'm really glad they are working on that film together, I wonder what else they will do, I'd seriously give my left arm (not right with attached hand) to see them onstage together, in anything, but I recall when Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke toured in a Sherlock Holmes stage play. *happy sigh*
