Chad Everett, the blue-eyed star of the 1970s TV series ‘‘Medical Center’’ who went on to appear in such films as ‘‘Mulholland Drive’’ died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles at 75 after a 1½-year battle with lung cancer.
Mr. Everett played sensitive surgeon Joe Gannon for seven seasons on ‘‘Medical Center.’’ The role earned him Golden Globe nominations in 1971 and 1973.
With a career spanning more than 40 years, Mr. Everett guest-starred on such TV series as “Murder, She Wrote,” He most recently appeared on the TV show ”Supernatural.” as older Dean Winchester.
