The Story of Castiel (spoilers for season nine and spin-off)

check on the SPN season eight DVD and there is a whole segment on Misha Collin's character Castiel, who became a fan-fave from the moment he appeared on the show (and brought some divisiveness among some fans) and he's been so popular, that Cas is impossible to get rid of, he's had no less than eight different incarnations - though some of these were with the problem of having a superpowerful ally for the Winchesters, you don't want him to solve their problems, so he's been killed (4 times) and become human, become god, become monster, become an amnesiac, gone insane, been mind controlled, and now human. And after season seven (where Misha was informed by showrunner that he was never coming back) Cas returned (the showrunner did not) and for upcoming season nine, Misha is once again a regular, and in credits just behind show stars Jared and Jensen.

Gee, I thought aloud in a comment to a post, with all this attention, you'd think this character was getting his own spin-off. (gasp) ( Read more... )
