A pregnant woman is just a “host” that should not have the right to end her pregnancy, Virginia State Sen. Steve Martin (R) wrote in a Facebook rant defending his anti-abortion views.

Martin, the former chairman of the Senate Education and Health Committee, wrote a lengthy post about his opinions on women’s bodies on his Facebook wall last week in response to a critical Valentine’s Day card he received from reproductive rights advocates.

"I don’t expect to be in the room or will I do anything to prevent you from obtaining a contraceptive," Martin wrote. "However, once a child does exist in your womb, I’m not going to assume a right to kill it just because the child’s host (some refer to them as mothers) doesn’t want it."

Martin voted for Virginia’s mandatory ultrasound bill and supported a fetal personhood bill, which would ban all abortions and could affect the legality of some forms of contraception.

I went to the doctor for the lump under my cheek in my mouth, he sent me to an oral surgeon, they charged me a $45 immediate co-pay, then charged me $146 for a panoramic scan (billed) and want to charge another $228 for another scan, then a visit for a biopsy, ($45 each visit) then find out if it's a simple cyst, or bone, (oral cancer) but at the moment, I'm ready to ice up my jaw and take it out myself with a sterilized xacto blade, cos I might have medical and dental insurance, but I can't afford this.

oh and someone called me back on the disability check, if I got it last month I should get it this month, and it should already have been mailed and I should get it sometime. So, what was so difficult about actually looking up the information and finding out for certain?

Decided to name lump in my jaw Cecil, cos he popped up like things do in Night Vale, and he's probably gonna be staying for awhile.
