I went to the doctor for the lump under my cheek in my mouth, he sent me to an oral surgeon, they charged me a $45 immediate co-pay, then charged me $146 for a panoramic scan (billed) and want to charge another $228 for another scan, then a visit for a biopsy, ($45 each visit) then find out if it's a simple cyst, or bone, (oral cancer) but at the moment, I'm ready to ice up my jaw and take it out myself with a sterilized xacto blade, cos I might have medical and dental insurance, but I can't afford this.

oh and someone called me back on the disability check, if I got it last month I should get it this month, and it should already have been mailed and I should get it sometime. So, what was so difficult about actually looking up the information and finding out for certain?

Decided to name lump in my jaw Cecil, cos he popped up like things do in Night Vale, and he's probably gonna be staying for awhile.

Hello - I've been away and am catching up. Sorry that you have the stress of a lump you don't want - and the expense of getting it checked out. I know that the logic of the statistics (most lumps are benign - cysts or something similar) does not help with the anxiety so I hope that you do get a more definite test/result before long.
