Oh yeah, that detective couple

You know the slightly mad brilliant one and the doctor for a partner?

Yep, been watching an ep of the X-Files I found at random on tv. I used to arrange my week around watching that show, now I'm trying to recall who is who and what is going on. I liked the show until season 5, and the first film, and then it jumped the shark. I was going to say it was when they hooked up Mulder and Scully, but maybe the problem was we never saw them become a romantic, sexual couple it all happened off-screen.

So i'd say, either give us the whole ball of wax or keep it platonic, but pretty much the problem was the writers and even the show creator ran out of ideas. I never did watch movie 2.

But good writing and good acting never go out of style, there should be more shows like this, more than just what I can count on one hand ... or maybe even one finger.

Oh, you're making me nostalgic. And I agree with everything you say about their romance.

I was looking up the show again, I forgot it was on for 9 seasons, I missed parts of 8 and 9. I think I have boxes of XFiles cards in the basement and a few books, a mug and some posters, oh and a Mulder and Scully Ken and Barbie set - ahaha, and here is me thinking I wasn't so into it, but at the time I didn't know what online fandom was. When I heard of fans writing stories I was whahuh?

i miss the early seasons of X-Files - they were so brillant and fun and great casting and everything. And then yeah, it jumped the shark and I never really watched to the point where they hooked up and then Mulder was gone and all that.

But the early eps? Oh yeah. I love Gillian Anderson as well :)
