I just watched this earlier, and now I'm so excited for the films! It was a trip watching him walk through the "old" sets. But Ian McKellan seems so much older.

I was (am) a big LOTR fan, but I kind of wanted to keep clear of this, not be 'spoiled' but as soon as I saw Martin in Bag End, I thought 'bring it!'

It's funny, up to now I've been interested in this but a bit detached because LOTR was so amazing and well, The Hobbit has less Elves and more Dwarves, not to put too fine a point on it. This though has made me squee and shiver alternately and now I'm well and truly excited. The Rivendell set made me tear up and the last bit of that clip, with the beginning words of The Hobbit had me 14 again and picking up the book for the first time with a happy shiver and a grin.

Of course, Richard Armitage as Thorin and the fact Orlando Bloom will once again play Legolas, as well as the always incredible Ian McKellan also help! Can't wait!!

Oh I'm in it for Martin Freeman, I can't imagine a better Bilbo, and actually, I'm looking forward to lots of Dwarves, never was a big Elf fan, though with my fic of Sherlock as an Elf, I'm warming to them, a bit.

I admit, I also was not really feeling the whole "Another Tolkien Film" thing until Martin was officially announced. Now I am like a little school girl every time there is news.

Well, I'm excited, but not overly so yet, they've got a long way to go before we see it and I don't want to be too spoiled!

I wasn't terribly into the idea of the Hobbit films, but like everyone else, Martin's casting got me all excited. He is so perfect for the part . . . I love the brief glimpse of him here, as they're blocking out a scene, where he's following a couple dwarves while awkwardly clutching an armful of axes. <3

That's the bit that got me excited! And that part of the story is always amusing. Martin's really fond of that light blue suit jacket ...

I just can't wait to see Martin bing all cute and huffy and spinal-reflex polite to a bunch of partying dwarves who've invaded his home . . . :)

Heh. A friend of mine said, "OMG, what is he wearing?!?" when she saw Martin in that jacket. I don't think it looks as bad as all that, though I'm not sure it goes with tan trousers.

I saw him wearing it in a pic with Benedict too, and thought, oh he must love it.
