NO SHIT SHERLOCK.

Remember how Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin was insisting that his controversial law to end collective bargaining for most public employees was needed to help save money and balance the budget?

Well, he's now acknowledging that's not exactly true.

During testimony before the House Oversight and Government Affairs committee in Washington, Walker, a Republican, was badgered by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) about how much money his law would actually save, reports the Capitol Times of Madison. The topic of the hearing, after all, was state and municipal debt, so Kucinich wondered how the collective bargaining law was relevant.

After some hemming and hawing by Walker, Kucinich asked flat out: "How much money does it save Gov. Walker? Just answer the question."

"It doesn't save any," Walker responded.

Interesting that he was more than willing to lie to the WI people, but not willing to lie when he could be held officially accountable (i.e. arrested for committing perjury) for it.

Yup.

I love what the conservatives are using as their driving political ideas these days: ie: the Obama administration is running the government into massive debt, what they seem to forget is that the Bush Adminstrations tripled the size of government, passed de-regulation in the finanicial industry which led us to the debt and the 2nd great depression - and the Republicans 'bailed out the banks' the Obama adminstration went with what the Repubicans had set up as they came in.

And, most Americans do know the Republicans caused the debt - which is why they voted the Dems in, yet in two years reversed the next elections in protest - yes, voting in the party that got us into this mess is such a Wonderful Idea. I don't even ....

Sometimes I wonder if they believe the words, or even listen to, the words that come out of their own mouths
