Benedict might be in The Hobbit with Martin

You know I wrote a fic that put Sherlock in Middle Earth as an Elf of Mirkwood? Well, Martin said at the BAFTA's that Benedict is being cast in the Hobbit. (this is not really an I-called-it)

I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't one reporter misinterpreting a joke by Martin Freeman. He has such a dry sense of humour, it's easy to see how a rumour can get started from that.

If it is true though, I hope Benedict gets cast as Smaug. It is one of his dream roles...

If Benedict is actually in the Hobbit, I'd have real troubles keeping my attention on the acting and not on my imagination going wild. =P The cast of LotR + Sherlock...it's cinematic slash heaven!

all of the dwarves have been cast and are in NZ filming already (there was one actor who dropped and was replaced) you can check One Ring Dot Net site to see which roles have been cast.
