Artists Statement

My friend has to write one.

I suggested

I ROCK
I AM MADE OF AWESOME
ALL SHALL LOVE ME AND DESPAIR

She said I was not helping.

I also hates artists statements, no one needs to know where I'm from, what my age is, what my gender is (hence the name Karadin) the work is the work, and what you see is what you get.        Which is probably 

This Artist Likes Pretty Men.

Bylines are the bane of my existence, but I need to write them. It's odd and feels schizo to talking about Phae in the third person. She always underrates her accomplishments and abilities and overestimates her shortfallings and failures, but it's easier to do it for others. For example, if Phae were to think up a sentence that would work for an artist like Karadin, she might start off by saying something like this:

Karadin adapts cultural influences as varied as Japanese ukiyo-e to late 19th-century romanticism to her own unique style of graphic illustration.

Phae is sure Karadin's other friends could come up with other contributions to a persuasive artist's statement.

Luckily I don't have to write one, but my friend does, she calls me when she's working on such things because I can pull something out - writing about oneself though, always annoying.
