A painful lesson should be learned here, particularly for the parents who were so afraid of a boy who liked dolls they beat and neglected him as 'therapy.' You can't blame the damage on the doctors if you were the one whipping the boy with a belt.

Incidentally, the man who based all of his later books on his 'study' of Kirk and started a foundation to keep people from becoming gay, took a male escort with him on his last business trip.

That's just... gah. It amazes and appalls me over the studies that they do to children, all in an attempt to meet some 'normal' criteria. And that there's enough pressure in our society that these parents feel it's in the child's best interest and that these doctors 'know best' and won't do any harm.
