After trying and not liking quality or service with the two big Print-on-demand services (Cafe Press and Zazzle) I've moved to Printfection.

Why it works for Artists:
No fees! No charge for setup, No charge for keeping your site up, No tiered shops (free vs pay)
You decide your percentage of profits
You can control what colours, sizes, etc, of product you offer to customers.
No third party sales of your work
No use of your artwork as a template (No changes to your artwork by other users of the site)
Payment by check twice monthly
High quality for your customers
International shipping and payment options for customers
Shopkeeper and Customer Support
Bulk Discounts

Why it works for Customers
High quality merchandise (no peeling, cracking on tees, etc,)
Ability to chose various colours on clothing
No extra shipping charges (other sites use separate vendors for mugs vs tees, etc.)
Secure online payment options International and Domestic
Great (and fast) customer service - Easy returns
Frequent sales!
Bulk Discounts

Printfection does not offer all the selections of product of some sites, however, I've found most customers want to order tees, mugs and mousepads from me, rather than snowboards!

I tried the other services and I wasn't happy with them. With Cafe Press I never received money I was owed, and could never contact customer service, and the quality of product wasn't very good, added to the fact that they determine your percent of profit and can sell your work to third parties (altering the content) and setting the price without your input.

With Zazzle I had work taken down arbitrarily - some products with image were taken down, while others with the same image stayed up. Also Zazzle charged my customers more in shipping, sending a mug from one vendor, and a tee shirt from another, which I didn't know about until my customer told me!

The singular drawback I've found with Printfection is that there is less traffic than the other sites, but I've found most of my sales came from my own promotion anyway, not general audiences.
