I was saying to a friend that he's beautiful to an artist's eye, because a tilt of his head and his entire face changes, and it can go strange and alien and it's elastic now he's young and that small chin, those ... well I could go on, you might like this angle.

He does have a lovely and very expressive face. I especially like the look of sensitive intelligence in this photo. From a period film? (Looks very Jane Austen era).

It's either from To The Ends of The Earth or Amazing Grace (when he played William Pitt)

Well, I don't think it's strange if people say they don't think Ben (or Martin or Mark) are attractive, because they don't fit into the narrow definition that American (or Western) society says is attractive, many Asians I befriend find it interesting I find Asian men attractive.

I think he is very attractive in so many unique ways - I love that he is not USA Hollywood cookie cutter and that his face is so expressive and constantly changing (along with the ever changing hair colour!).

This is a fantastic image :)

YES, Hollywood cookie cutter actors BORE me (swishes around in blue robe) That's why I avoid watching much American TV these days, I can't relate to any of the people, it's so unreal.

Is that him as Pitt? He was excellent in that film.

I'm afraid count me amonst the unconverted, I can see the attraction for others but what I watch on screen is first and foremost a talented actor. Doesn't raise the blood. But it is an interesting and unusual face.

Sorry :-)

Oh no, don't be worried, while I love Ben's acting and I think he's gorgeous, I'm not really sexually attracted if that makes sense - maybe that's my age showing - I'd want to go have coffee with him and maybe Banoffee pie.

While he's not my cup of tea, that period dress and hair style suits him, I think, it shows off his cheekbones and gives him an air of elegance. Life would be boring if we all found the same people and things interesting anyway. It'll be fun to see him with Hiddles in War Horse!

IF you like him in period pieces he's working on Parade's End right now, which is Edwardian leading into WW1. I'm actually excited that his project after the Hobbit in the new year is a comedy film set in Ireland.
