That when people volunteer to walk for Susan G.Komen's three-day marathon they have to promise to raise $2,300 each? If the volunteer cannot raise this much, they have to provide a credit card and make up the difference themselves.

Also, if someone cannot make the walk for whatever reason, none of their donations or fees are refundable. So I hope that those persons who set out to make the walk who are not going now because of the recent Planned Parenthood debacle are not going to have to pay $2300.

I know and I always thought it was kind of sleezy. I realize they need to cover some things for the walk, but that's a little crazy. My mom tried to talk me into doing it with her a couple years ago and I told her a flat "no." Then I told her she was welcome to do the MN AIDS Walk with me and I could tell her pretty much where just about every penny we brought in would go and we wouldn't get charged to do it. Could she say the same? ;)
