Today I took my son out to the bus, which picks him up in front of the house, he likes to stand next to me and loops his arm through mine. This morning though he wanted hugs, and he pushed his face into me and said.

"Mum, you smell like fruit snacks."

I chuckle, "Is that good?"

He says. "Yes, it's good."

*I have to add, my son (who has autism) has become more verbal over the last six months, and less about wants/needs, more about what he’s feeling, or what you are feeling, so it’s a joy.

Yep, cos we don't eat fruit snacks a lot, I think he has them at school. And I try to write these down, so I won't forget them!

Oh this is so good to read about! It sounds like he's making great progess and I hope you'll have more sweet moments like these. I'm truly happy for you both.
