Never give books away.

Every time I want to clean up, or even make a few bucks taking my TONS of books to Half Price, I muse over certain tomes, like The History of Hell and Angels an Endangered Species back some decades ago (yes I'm that old) I was doing a project illustrating Dante's Inferno, all black and white woodcuts, so I did the research. Kept the books.

And now I know why, so I can write a Sherlock/Supernatural crossover.

My students are amazed at the size of my academic collection (never mind my massive at home collection) but I always tell them I rarely get rid of books. Because at some point, I need them again :) And I love rereading them too :)

Only books I get rid of are mainstream serial killer books I buy at airports :)
