May 25 is Towel Day for you Hitchiker's Guide fans.

The day Star Wars was released in 1977.

And also a significant day to Terry Pratchett fans, I hear.

So I'm gonna watch some SUPERNATURAL.

For Pratchett fans it's the Wearing of the Lilacs. It's a book reference similar to the real world custom of wearing poppies for veterans. In honor of Mr. Pratchett's condition it has become an Alzheimer's awareness day of sorts.

I don't know, maybe we need to find out what was released on May 25, in Japan. I believe it started with Towel Day, but wiki might know!
