Giving thanks for my kids, my spouse, my brother and sisters, my friends, my neice and nephew, my president, misha, jared, jensen, (spn family) benedict, gackt, my new job, my son’s teachers and aides, Gillete Children’s Speciality Healthcare, Emergency Food Shelf Network, my County Human Services Department, everyone who buys my stuff to look at or wear and leaves me nice comments. Fandom on a good day. :D

that's true, but SN is the first fandom I've heard slammed for mass amounts of wank outside fandom circles, I think that was mainly due to fans being mean to the actors etc.....which makes Misha extra special for diverting their energies into GOOD things. ^__^

It's a lot of the younger fans that cause wank, in Misha's case last week because he promoted a fan event that wasn't directly linked to a charity. He was going to do a livestream mockerie of his SyFy film 'Stonehenge Apocalypse' which you could view for $8, if you paid more you could get an autographed poster and chat with him live, but the proceeds were also going to fly 15 fans from wherever in the world to be audience members.

but yeah, some fans bitched that it wasn't for charity (for which he is well known) so he was 'taking advantage of fans or milking the fandom' or whatever - (honestly for $8 a pop?) then a few days ago, Misha canceled, we don't know why, but hopefully it wasn't because of these fans who are self-entitled wankers of the first degree.

But to give credit to J2 and Misha, they still go to conventions - which can't pay them that much considering the aggro - but they know they owe the longevity of their little show that could to the fanbase. Why do people have to be assholes???
