Pulled a muscle in my lower back, right side yesterday, so right now i'm icing it, then putting some heat on it. It's not so bad but when you move after sitting down awhile you really notice it. I hope i'ts okay by Friday when I go back to work, (and then work five days in a row) and I was just starting to excerise (walk on treadmill) again.

In other news, already had to break out the shop vac because water in the basement due to snow melt, had to empty the bucket 3 times. Should have gotten the larger vacuum. And incidentally, remember to empty it out after last use! ick.

Sounds like the SIJ that I pulled in December when moving furniture. Mine wass bad enough to need prescription anti-inflammatories and physio, but mild versions do well with Aleve (naproxen - over the counter) and heat/ice and gentle stretching.

Hope it clears up soon - that's a hard area since the body uses it constantly.

Yeah, meh. The other annoying thing is once you get one room tidied up a nice looking, all the others look like crap!

Pulled muscle doesn't sound nice. As already said, naproxen is a good anti-inflammatory if you do need it. Gentle massage is also helpful if you can get someone to do it for you with nice, warm hands. There's a tricky balance to be had between resting the tissue and keeping it mobile.

And be careful when you get back to work! Back muscle is not strong (it's not bulky like a bicep) so be sure to use your posture (skeleton/bones and the bulky load-bearing muscles - quads and biceps) to take more of the strain.

Hope it all eases up soon.
